Telemetric EMG systems can be used to record various parameters of muscular activation such as onset/offset, total duration and amount of muscle activity. Furthermore, the wireless transmission of data allows unrestricted movement thus they are ideal for gait and other daily activities analysis, even athletic movements. They can be used with highly competitive or recreational athletes and patients with gait abnormalities.

In our lab we use the TeleMyo 2400R EMG system (Noraxon Inc., USA ).

Its main features are:

• Simultaneous recording from 16 channels telemetrically
• Conversion of the digital telemetry data to analog output signals. Up to 16 telemetry signals can interface with other measurement devices like motion analysis systems , force-plates, isokinetic dynamometers etc.
• Ultra-lightweight and portable device
