Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center of Ioannina

This lesson is taught to the medical students during the 4th year (8th semester) medical school studies at the University of Ioannina from the Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery A.D. Georgoulis. The teaching of the lesson is taking place at the OSMCI.

Contents:
General Principles for the Management of Sports Injuries. Injury of muscle-tendon-joint. Neurovascular structure injuries. Bone injuries. Head and facial injuries. Shoulder and upper arm injuries. Elbow injuries. Forearm wrist and hand injuries. Trunk and abdominal injuries. Spinal cord injuries. Injuries of the lower extremity: thigh, knee, lower leg, ankle, and foot.

Thursday 20/03/08 Ligamentous injuries of the knee joint, anterior cruciate  ligament rupture and meniscal lesions.
